Default SkyWest bypass flows

So how are SkyWest pilots getting hired at DL, UAL and AA before some flows? Isn't that the whole idea of the attraction/marketing strategies for some regionals?
Met a civilian SKYW (under 16months on property) pilot today that just got on with DL. He informed me there were about 250-300 that got on from them.
Last month, I had met a SkyWest pilot who just got hired at AA with 4 years. I am sure there are lots that went to UA.
How are they bypassing all flows?

Perhaps airlines have a certain appreciation for pilots who oppose trade unionism and willingly undercut their fellow pilots, all while fiercely believing in your company brand as though it were a cult and adoring management as your personal lord and savior. I don't know, I could be wrong.

What makes you think it's specific to skywest? People are getting hired from every regional. Including the smaller ones, like some turboprop operators.

Skywest isn't bypassing flows. Anyone from anywhere can interview and get a job immediately at a major carrier if they meet the mins and get chosen. Nothing special about Skywest.

Because flows only fill a portion of available new hire slots, no ALL of them. Got it?!

Ah, someone achieving some self-awareness about the actual value of flow programs!

^ exactly. Flows are almost a way to meter pilots in without mas exudus from your airline.. its a way to control attrition.. SkyWest doesn't have that..

Perhaps you shouldn't have bought into the Ponzi scheme that is the flow. When you hear pilots with a flow boast about how they have taken their last interview, have no degree, have some convictions, you wonder why they only allow a fixed amount per year. People from CPZ, SKYWEST, TSA, and even airlines like Envoy can get hired at UAL.
