Default Minneapolis Base for Rjet?

All,

I'm a Minneapolis based pilot coming to republic this month. I'm hearing that republic is taking over a lot of compass"s flying for delta out of Msp next year. I've also heard some rumors of hr pushing for recruiting Minneapolis crew? Any truth to this? What are the chances of them opening a base here, I know it's speculative but just wasn't sure if there are any other rumors out there.

Also when is your contract due for negotiation again? Was curious as with 9E"s new TA I would assume there is gonna be a lot of competition for future recruiting.

It’s never been a rumor. But they were definitely looking for compass pilots after that base closure announcement since they held a hiring event at msp shortly after. That was sort of random.

Delta is certainly angry about how compass has been taking care of their airplanes. When those 6 airplanes came over from compass to rpa, they were wildly out of compliance. Cost Delta a lot of money to comply with some ADs. Sounds like it wasn’t limited to just those airframes. There are some within rpa that say if republic could staff the compass flying, they’d be given it. Friend of mine works at the training center and a higher up has said that.

To get that flying though, rpa has to figure out how to grow the list. That is where a new TA comes in, and yes, we’re up for negotiations as we speak. Company and union are already talking.

TangoIndigoMike1 - I was referring to the Den 3/4 time Pilot base club - going another round. Or maybe a new Pilot Base in SLC or SFO (Hence left coat hint above).
