Current Junior Bases for New Hires?

Hello,

Wondering where new hires are most likely to end up, currently?

Where is Kansas City on the list?

Thank you.

Thanks. Only goes to November. Just trying to get an idea if still the same, or starting to skew differently.

Looks like KC was relatively senior in the past. How about now? How long until someone could hold it?

6 months, maybe less depending on upgrades

How long does it currently take to upgrade in ORD?

10 years, but I doubt it will be around that long.

10 years?! Base disappearing?
Time to scratch Republic off the list.

The Midwest bases at Republic are more senior, especially in the left seat. You could hold ORD within 6 months right seat, but left would be a very long time. Looks like you’re Army, so maybe look at Air Wisconsin or Envoy. Both have much faster upgrades then Republic.

Probably better places to go right now, because the pilot group at Republic is very divided.

Divided Pilot Group

Can you tell me what you mean by "our pilot group is very divided"?

No idea who this is directed at, but I will take a guess. The most recent pay LOA passed by 30 votes. Very bitter comments made on both sides, and I would expect some of that to continue. The unions FB Page has been pretty brutal, from both sides. I suspect you will see some attrition, but many will stay and continue to be unhappy.

Republic would not be a bad place to spend a few years, if you can live in base. I would be concerned when the next contract is negotiated though. Many will be let down, and the cycle will continue.
