Default Making a choice for career advancement

Hi guys,

Got offers from PSA, Envoy, Air Wisconsin and Republic. I'm 43 and I got a BS and MS in engineering. My priority is logging as many hours as possible in the first two years. Quality of life can wait. It's a bit depressing hearing all the negative stuff from pretty much every regional except for Endeavor which isn't an option since I can't wait till late summer to start training.

I'm still not grasping how the whole scheduling works (pbs, sap etc.) except that seniority is what rules it.

Constructive criticism is welcome.

Thanks.

You will definitely fly a lot at Republic. As far as contracts Republic has one of the better ones. I know you said you don’t care about quality of life for now but I would really look at where you want to live and available bases. As far as all the negative stuff you read, apc is one of the worst places to get good info. I have enjoyed my time at Republic. Good luck.

Republic and PSA are the 2 options I would be considering of the options you put forth. Republic has better pay and contract, PSA has SAP and a flow that generates constant movement on the seniority list. You can fly a lot at either. I wouldn’t choose PSA for the flow in your position. You’re older and well qualified as far as your education is concerned. Both are good options right now, good luck!

Endeavor may have the highest FO pay but I’m pretty sure they’re just like everyone else otherwise. Republic is not that far off and CA rates exceed EDV in less than 2 years.
