50 Hours ME requirement firm?
I got my ATP before the rules change and have 47 hours of multi-engine. Republic's minimum is 50. I would like to apply but I want to avoid any delay or reject. I'm prepared to do a few more hours in a twin if needed before I apply, but before I burn that money I'd like to know whether the 50 multi is a firm requirement. In other words, should I apply with 47 hours multi or go get the extra hours before I apply?
Also, if anyone would care to answer a few questions via PM and possibly assist in a referral I'd appreciate the help.

I would like to know this too. TSA and various others require ATP mins minus 25 hrs multi (to be accomplished during training in the SIM. For me (Rotor conversion) the 50 hr requirement translates to an extra 7K in preparation.

End result of the PMs I received is that it's up to the recruiter but as I already have an ATP they are likely to ignore the fact I'm short of the 50 so while it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to brush up on multi procedures before I go to training it doesn't appear to be strictly required to be given an opportunity to interview.

About half the people in the mid May class have less than 50 hours. All with R-ATP I believe. I ran into the same problem before starting class, recruiter said one thing while others said another. I ended up using their time building program to get up to 50 just to be safe.

If you are short on your multi time or total time, your ATP oral gets pushed back until you reach ATP mins in the Level D sim. The normal process is to finish indoc/systems, complete your oral exam, then begin the 8 simulator sessions leading up to your final sim checkride. Depending on how much time you need, you may complete your oral after Sim #1,2,3 etc. If you come in 25 hours short of multi or total time, you will most likely complete your oral after Sim #6.
