Multi time required before indoc

Sorry if this has been brought up over and over but after speaking with my recruiter I’m more confused than I was before.

To sum it up I was told that only 6hours of ATP-CTP can count towards the 50 hours total multi i need.

Some other threads here say I can use training sim time before atp oral.

They want you to have 50 hours on day 1. I only got exactly 6 hours in CTP. That’s it.

I’m starting CTP literally tomorrow. My recruiter said I needed 44 hours. I’m reporting with 44.1. He said I’ll be fine; I’ll get 6 hours at ATP CTP. All of the communication from the CTP vendor indicates I’ll get 6 hours in the sim.

I think there’s a little bit of a disconnect from the recruiters and training department. There’s been several new hires recently that do not have the 50 hours.

If you don’t you just will have to do your Oral checkride sometime in the middle of your sims depending on how much time you have left to build (5? 10? 20 hours of multi needed for 50)

Some guys in the latest class have to build the hours they need during the time they are sent home for ETHOS. Oral will still be scheduled before the sims. Reasoning was people were failing when they study for oral/sim all-together. Not sure how true that is but they must have some data to back that up.

With all that said, I wouldn't be surprised if they are changing the rules and telling people to come in at 44 multi now instead of the 25 that has been advertised before.

So, to clarify, some people have been able to complete the 50 hour requirement during their time home for ETHOS?

Is this an acceptable practice? I'm coming in and it looks like ill be a little short. The airplane I was flying just went down with a mechanical and wont be ready to go until a couple days before I leave. I have 14 more hours to build.

I was told in my interview I only needed 25. I've heard from some that whether it's 25 or 50 depends on whether you qualify for R-ATP

Whether you get a R-ATP or not, I don’t think it matters between 25-50 hours of multi. You need 50 for an ATP and FARs allow 25 hours to be in a sim, hence why you can start at 25 hours. Hope this helps.

They have special stipulations for you to come with 25 hours multi. I think it’s like a mixture of total time plus degree plus past experience plus what ever criteria. If you have 1450 in a 172 and need 50 multi most likely you will have to go to the FTi or get the multi on your own.

This was last year and times could have changed.
