I'm not sure what you mean by "closer"... right now people in PIT are pretty much going from IOE to the line, very little (if any) reserve time. There are currently only 3 people between me and the most junior lineholder, and I haven't even finished systems yet. (And, those 3 are still in training.) LGA, as far as I can tell, still has about 3-4 months reserve time. EWR might be a little better than that.

Ah ok I just assumed EWR and LGA would have had the shortest times to hold a line. Glad to hear that it’s not the case though. Now little/no reserve in IND or CMH would be even better for my commute lol

Indy's looking like about a few months of reserve after OE

How is EWR doing? I got told it is less than 2-3 months, is it accurate ?

Someone joining the bottom of the list now would have 38 spots to gain to get to the most junior lineholder. More like 6+ months if you ask me, unless a lot more flying starts happening.

EWR and LGA are both around 2-3 mos. Not sure where the other guy is getting his information from.

It changes, it used to be longer at EWR and it will probably be again sometime in the future. That is why it is pointless answering these questions and why I usually ignore them. Impossible to predict reserve times for future hires unless you have some type of inside company information.

I'm getting mine from the staffing outlook, FLICA, current FO schedules, and the seniority list. You may have better information.

As Weatherman said, there's no way to know for sure how long someone will be on reserve. But I can tell you for sure that there are currently 38 people behind the most junior lineholder in EWR. Really don't think that list is going to move 38 spots in 2-3 months.

Three EWR
Two CMH

And about 20 or so PIT.

4/16 class base assignments

What base usually has the longest legs rather than short hops?

Thanks!
