Only when captains start leaving at an enormous rate will the company start to feel the hurt. Unfortunately Republic has some of the most lifers in the regional industry. The fact that a 12 year captain can’t even hold a line in Chicago is proof enough.
Thought ExpressJet had the most regional lifers? Upgrade is 5 years over there

Upgrade time doesn’t necessarily mean they have the most lifers. And to be fair I have no clue what the exact numbers are. I said Republic has some of the most lifers. The most? Idk. But Republic is a very senior pilot group.

I believe what you’re trying to say is “the pilots have lost leverage for negotiations, because we no longer have a pilot shortage”. This is probably a true statement, but they still have to remain competitive for Lift and the cadet program to work. I would be more concerned if we didn’t make our recruiting goals. We will know in January if the company will “play ball”, so be patient or put your stuff in at PSA.

I would like to see some further improvement in QOL more so over pay this round. Especially some improvement in the commuter rules. However, I am not holding out hope. Not when we can fill their classes a year in advance.
