Yea there’s absolutely no way RPA is considerably more expensive than our competitors. BB passes so much cost on to the pilot group with this outstation business model it’s comical.

FWIW I heard years ago AA gave their flying that we were doing to Skywest and Envoy because they wanted us to have a larger maintenance presence in Chicago instead of waiting for hours to fly in spare parts/planes from Indy or CMH. When BB said no because hangar space was too expensive in Chicago AA said fine and took that flying away. Who knows if that’s true, but wouldn’t surprise me if it was.

Unfortunately Republic is and always will be the northeast regional that can’t seem to protect the flying we do outside of the NY market. RPA is a great place to work if you live in NY or one of our massive outstations, otherwise it’s probably not worth commuting for anymore.
It is a cost thing, 175s cost a little more to operate and they are not utilized to their fullest potential due to scope. Some routes they can charge more to offset the cost. Some they can’t.

MIA might start shrinking as Envoy gets more EOW certified 175’s.

First of heard of this. Source?

To my understanding, ENY 175s wouldn’t do EOW type flying due to less useful load and that RAH would keep operating those flights. When did this change?

More EOW certified? I didn't think Envoy had any EOW period.

They don't, and last I heard they got denied again and have given up for the time being trying to become EOW certified. Unless something has changed that flyguy can fill us in with.

The most recent 175 delivered is EOW certificated and apparently they are getting more.

That’s great for the aircraft! How about the certificate holders ops specs?

Exactly.

You really think Envoy can't get that approved?
