Default If you were NYC based....

1. Which regional would you choose?
2. If control of your schedule were important, does that effect your decision?
3. If you were hoping for night and weekend flying more than during the weekday, does Republic hold an edge based on the amount of shuttle flying?
4. How real are the flow agreements that Envoy and Endeavor have?

Thanks for the advice!

The flow is real at Envoy and the rest of the AA WOs. With that said, if you're NYC based, I would go to Endeavor.

Endeavor has a guaranteed interview, of which I believe the pass-rate is 65%. Keep in mind that's after you even qualify for it. Envoy's flow is ONLY reasonable for the pilots on property that were hired before 2014. If you went there now, your flow drops to like 15%. Aka: It blows.
Republic is the place to be right now. With the way hiring is going and the way retirements and growth is happening, you won't need any flow to get to mainline.

If you live in base, QOL at Republic is as good as it gets at a regional. You can work a little or a lot with seniority, and on whatever days you want to after about 9 months in the NY bases. After that time, you basically get what you want in bids.

Don't forget that although main line may call you it greatly depends on when they call you for the quality of your career there. If you go off the street you may wait years and spend your entire career at main line on the bottom of the seniority list. Not saying this will happen for everyone but it is inevitable for a sizable group.

I was under the impression that even with flow, you start at the bottom seniority wise. Everyone starts their seniority at day 1 of class, regardless of whether they came from a WO or OTS. Am I wrong?

That's correct but what I was referring to is a flow or guaranteed interview may get you to mainline quicker than gambling with off the street and potentially having to wait an excessively long time for them to call. If you have a really strong application it probably wouldn't be an issue but that doesn't describe everyone.

Wondering if folks who happen to be LGA based would be able to comment on their schedule during their first year at Republic.

Average time on reserve?
Rough estimate of how often you'd get called to fly when on reserve?
Days off once you are able to hold a line?

Curious if anyone is friends/contacts with Endeavor pilots and have compared schedules/QOL? I'm aware of Endeavor's pay and guaranteed interview (which are benefits, but not the most important things for me), just curious if there's a significant reduction in schedule/QOL as compared to RAH.

I have tried to look through the forums for this info and also understand that these things can be really variable. Any info will help though.

Thanks!
