Nonreving questions

Hey guys,
I'd like to hear some experiences you've had nonrevving with your RPA benefits. Both domestic and international, commuting and leisure travel.

I've noticed that some countries (like Costa Rica) do not have a visa requirement for US citizens but do require a return ticket for entry. If I am listing for a return ticket does that count?

The big 3 allow you to list for a round trip ticket, once I do that do I get an email from them documenting this? I've never listed before so I'm not sure how the process works.

It works well, as long as there’s space on the flights you want to take! Nonrev on mainline can be downright impossible sometimes because our priority is pretty low on mainline, the flights are oversold, and there’s likely several people ahead of you on standby. That’s why I prefer to travel on the regionals. Our priority is higher (especially on own own metal), and the flights are usually less packed, so it’s easier for you to get on. Also you can’t get stuck in the middle seat in row 38!

If I’m going somewhere and staying for a few days, I prefer to do one way rather than round trip. The availability will likely change for your return leg(s) so it’s best to book it the night before so you know when the best time to go will be. UA and AA for sure send you confirmation emails. DL should too but I haven’t used DL travel yet.
