Non Rev benefits

Do immediate family members get non rev privileges?

Auburn17Pilot 09-17-2018 04:41 PM

Depends on the carrier.

Delta - just parents/spouse
American - parents spouse or friend
United - parents, spouse and friend or no spouse and two friends

No in laws on any carrier. You can use friends spots for siblings etc

Thanks. Was just thinking of spouse and kids.

Are these ZED tickets or some other type of non-rev tickets with higher priority than ZED?

Auburn17Pilot 09-18-2018 04:50 AM

these aren’t zed tickets. Zed is entirely different and typically only available to you. I’m not sure how our priority would stack up against a zed ticket.

ZED is dead last. After buddy passes. Our benefits are MUCH bette than that, however, experiences do vary. Lol

Think of paying for ZED as the privilege to list standby on some other airline (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Ethiopian, Air New Zealand, and many others). You are bottom of the barrel but hey - at least you get to list. If you want that direct to Auckland flight, Air New Zealand is your best bet.

ZED (Zonal Employee Discount) is available after 6 months of employment and typically offered to you + parents and maybe spouse (single so not sure about that one). It is important to research the specific agreements we have with each ZED partner (for example my parents can list on Air France no problem, however KLM does not accept parents - I on the other hand can list no problem).

How does listing on a delta code share (air france) work? It just shows up as a - under the seats available column.

DiveAndDrive 09-20-2018 05:03 PM

It would be a ZED fare.

ZED is available on MyIDTravel, you wont find it on any of our codeshare partners listing tools.
