Aren’t both the 145 and 200 out of production? What is the point of adding the 700 when it’s the same seating capacity and you have the same scope issues?

omg, I couldn't imagine being forced upgraded into the 200

For what it’s worth, a couple mechanics in IND mentioned getting 700/900s.

Anyone have any insight or wild speculation into how this would affect upgrade times or even be implemented? A few months ago I foolishly thought I had this whole regional airline thing figured out when I got a CJO. Now that the 100 aircraft order may or may not have fallen through and SW changed their pay rates...it looks like that is not the case.
I guess we'll just do it live! :D |

This was kicked around a while back, when 9E was slated to get ERJs. That plan doesn’t seem to be in the works anymore.

I’m scheduled for Dec Indoc and they told me expect late January to come back to training. It seems like this maybe won’t be the case from others I’m hearing from...and that I should really expect March. I thought I was solid with the CJO from RAH, now I’m really thinking i should consider SkyWest with the new TA.... all the hiring at RAH and mention of CRJ fleet and still no real direction on the ERJ LOI (even though they parade it around as an order in the interview process). Just kinda has me scratching my head about my RAH decision at moment. I love the contract at RAH, but just seems like there are building questions about what’s going on and potentially an overstaffed situation.... welcome to Regionals huh, nothing is for certain I suppose. I think I’m gonna go interview at SW and see how their Kool-aide tastes.
FWIW, I did the same thing you did and had CJOs from SkyWest, PSA, and RAH. What it came down to for me is the contract, QOL. I am not downplaying the other 2 in any way, and I am super happy for the guys and gals at OO to finally get a better contract, lord knows they've been due, but don't throw RAH out the door yet. I still believe, even with other airline contracts that have come out recently, the uncertainty of the 100 EJets, and the training delays, RAH is still the best company-overall-to work for on the regional level, today. As far as the whole training delay.. I don't think guys understand how sweet a deal it is. You get your seniority number, pay, and free vacation to do what you'd like. Arguably, I don't see you (or anyone else) getting that much free vacation with pay the rest of our career. Ultimately you do what is best for you, but don't let the rumor mill from APC affect your view on any airline. |
