Jumpseating Prior to MyIDTravel Account?
Hi all,
I understand that we do not get ZED privileges until 6 months in, but does that mean we don't get MyIDTravel accounts until then either? I'm asking because I've noticed that several airlines (AA, JBU, probably others) need/want you to list for the jumpseat on MyIDTravel ahead of time, whereas others like DL and WN only require you to show up and talk to the gate agent. Is there any "work-around" for jumpseating (again, not using ZED privileges) on those airlines before having been on property for 6mos? Thanks, and Merry Christmas! |
You can get it for duty travel only. It helps with getting to and from work for commuters on airlines.

Jumpseating can also be used for leisure travel not just commuting. No need to be at an airline for 6 months. But yes you’ll list as a pilot commuting in my id travel
The instructions in the leisure travel guide under ZED passes (which is the only place I can find anything about MyIDTravel) aren't working. I click "Don't have an account or Request a New Password" and enter my airline and employee ID, but then instead of getting a "Mail Sent" message as the instructions say, I'm getting a "Mail Not Sent.") |

You should be able to get on your myID before 6 months.. for listing for JS as pilot commuting(can choose this for other travel as well) .. log into intranet, under Travel Links or SSO Links on left click myID Travel. It’ll log you in via your Republic SSO.
Does that sound legit? In this context, does the word "commuting" mean only going to/from work, or is that just a catch-all word for utilizing the jumpseat? (there's no other option) |

So I think I figured things out! I found the Open Cabin Seating Guide on the iPad. It says it's for FAs but if you follow the instructions (at least for the JetBlue listing), there's an option to select "Pilot Commuting" or "FA Commuting." I selected Pilot, went through the rest of the stuff, and got listed.

(there's no other option) If you click the myidtravel link on the company website you might be able to log in or use the republic login that’s in the travel guide to list for the jumpseat only. I can’t remember if you can do that or not for other Airlines so it could fail. You can always send an email to the travel and ask. It’s Christmas break tho so good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
