Not a smart move

Starting a jumpseat war is never a good idea.

We got sick of getting left behind while JetBlue and spirit pilots would get the jumpseat because of an IT issue. AA management needs to get their IT **** in order. It’s my understanding that they use that excuse to not implement parts of your contract as well, total BS. I agree that jumpseat wars are not the way, but something had to be done.

AA “has recently indicated they want to work with us towards an acceptable solution...” When both parties are willingly negotiating, that’s not a war.

Sometimes you have to nut up and draw a line. We did with UA and they backed down.

Taking it out on the AA pilot group who had nothing to do with this is not the way to do it.

It hasn’t even gone into effect yet, and it has been delayed until Oct 1. So hopefully AA and republic can get an agreement done and no one gets left behind. The gate agents can list you as D6, but they’re normally too lazy to do it.

What is insanity is AA not allowing our AAC listings to be changed to AAC FDJ. If they would just do that then there wouldn’t even be a discussion and OAL pilots wouldn’t go ahead of us for the JS.

Why, exactly, should AA pilots get priority on our aircraft when it doesn’t work the other way around?

Yea. Don’t take your management issue out on the pilot group. We are literally a third party who agrees you should get what you’re asking for. But doing it this way isn’t right.
