Not wrong, but the few things I didn't know weren't on the Sheppard air program. 90% of the questions came from airline interview.com.

In my case I qualify for the RATP as a military pilot but I also have more than 1500 total time (Helicopter ATP). Kind of a grey area for them. All of the other regionals require 25 hours of MEL time regardless of which ATP route you are taking. I want to work at Republic so will do whatever they need. At the same time I don’t want to spend money if I don’t need to. At the end of the day it IS just money and not a show stopper in the least.

I used "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot" along with Shepard to prepare the I got hired about 18 months ago. EEPP is awesome and I used it all the time in the aircraft when a question comes up. Highly recommend it.

Hi, just curious where you got the “44” hrs from? I am starting training for Republic in a few weeks and I’m a 1500 hour guy who had only 27 hours of Multi. I used the FTI program to bring my multi time up to 40 hours. Republic told me I only need 40 hours because I will get the last ten hours of multi in the ATP-CTP.

I think you’d better double-check that with your recruiter. Unless something has changed, you only get 6 hours in the sim at ATP/CTP.

They are indeed telling new candidates 40. Still only 6 in the ATP/CTP, but I guess they're counting 4 in the sims now.

I triple checked. On the phone and in email. Here is a copy&paste (without names) of my email exchange with them.

Hi C***, I completed 12.7 hours with the FTI program. This brings my total multi engine time to 40.3 hours. I was told 40 hours would satisfy the minimum requirement to begin training. Can you confirm?

Thank you
Sam

Hi Sam

You’ve been placed in our in-house ATP-CTP course & according to your recruiter K***, if you are doing the in house ATP/CTP course, then you will be fine because we will provide ten hours of qualifying multi sim.

And 1500 hour people need to have 50 multi hours on day 1.

Thanks,

C**

I've been told the in house ATP-ctp is coming back. Maybe they are giving people 10 hours. I got closer to 16 hours in the in house ATP-CTP a few years ago.

Correct. Here is the email I got from republic...

Works like a charm.

3. Know basic IFR knowledge.
4. Have some knowledge of the company.
5. Have some questions (genuine).
6. Be humble.
How Long ago did you interview ?
