Default Interviewed today

Had my interview today. Overall I feel like I could of done better on the technical questions. Definitely some gotcha questions due to my lack of experience with what was asked. Waiting til next week to hear back. Hoping for a yes but not fully confident after the interview. Plus since I have a commercial and cfi fail my stuff has to go to a review board.. So who knows

...Okay? Well best of luck to you man!

It shouldn't take them more than a week to get back to you. And that's simply because there are a lot of applicants and interviewees.

Good luck! What were some of the technical questions you were asked? How did you prepare prior to going into the interview?

I know this is posted somewhere.
Works like a charm.

1. Study the Airline Interview gouge.
2. Study the Sheppard Air Airline Interview program.
3. Know basic IFR knowledge.
4. Have some knowledge of the company.
5. Have some questions (genuine).
6. Be humble.

No need for Shepard air anymore. They don't do the test anymore. Yes definitely basic ifr.. If you don't know just tell them. There was a few things I didn't know due to zero experience with it. I told him that and he appreciated the non bs answer.

When did they stop the Shepard Air testing at the interview? Is that pretty recent?

I hear the current debate in the training department is the 25 hours versus 50 hour MEL time requirement. If you qualify for the restricted ATP you only need 25 hours. If you have the mins for a normal ATP then the dept wants a 50 hour MEL minimum. If you meet the requirements for either the restricted or normal ATP, ie military pilot with >1500tt, they are not too sure which minimums apply. Does someone come in on the restricted ATP side or do we make them pay for the extra 25 hours of light piston twin time? The struggle is real.

Those few things you may not know may be found in the Sheppard Air Airline Interview program. Even if you have no experience with things like RVSM, or compressor stalls, etc., you should still know what it is and how it applies. That's their way of checking on your level of preparedness for the interview.

If you qualify for the ratp (750/1000/1250) you can go in with only 25hrs multi. They will get you the remaining in the sims during indoc and atp-ctp. If you're a 1500hr then you need 50, but you can use the flight time initiative program to pay for the remaining. That's 50 before indoc.. So you can stop at 44hrs and get the 6 in atp class.
