Default Multi Time at 1st Day on Property

Hey all!

I have a class date coming up in the next couple of months. When I originally was given my CJO I was told that I only needed 38 hours of multi engine time on the day I show up for class in Indy. Since then the recruiter contacted me and said 44 hours is required. Speaking with others with CJO they either have been told by recruiters they need 25 hours or, 38, or never got the word about the 44. Is there someone in the training division that knows the true amount to show up with? If not... does someone know who to contact as far as getting the absolute true number. I have a couple months left to get it, but don't have extra money to spend on renting extra hours in a multi if I don't need to.

Thanks in advance!

I believe it’s 38 or 44. This depends on whether you’re going to the in-house ATP-CTP (where you’ll get 12 hours of sim time) or a third party CTP where you’ll only get six hours of sim time. You should find out which one you’re going to about 30 days out from starting.

It changes by the day and by the class, what others got may be considerably different then what is required of you. There is no rhyme or reason so I am not going to even attempt to answer this. Good luck finding a concrete answer..

Do they do the required sim session in an Ejet if the CTP is in-house?

Yes, it’s a nice perk if you can get a slot.

That’s a game changer for sure. Thanks for the info.

Yes, do the inhouse ATP-CTP. If you're lucky and have an odd number do not hesitate to volunteer to seat fill. I got 24 hours in the 170 sim before training. That helped out a lot.
