Having a good time so far. MCI shouldn't be a tough base to get, either.

Tough to get, no, but tough to move up. MCI had no vacancies or backfills this month, and people there are likely looking at a year or more of reserve once they hit the line.

Not true, there was one backfill to MCI

Thanks for the correction. It, like IAH, is slow-moving when compared to the rest of the bases.

Pretty much anything outside of NY is slow moving. I upgraded over a year ago and still on reserve in Houston. Can't even hold Chicago.

Are times to hold a line as slow for FO's as it sounds like for CA's right now? If so, how many hours are pilots averaging per month on reserve? What's 2020 looking like for reserve times, upgrades, etc?

Been flying for a month, me and other FO’s in EWR have been used every reserve period. Expecting to hold a line by March. If not then April.

There’s a lot of variables that go in to that question. Unless we get more airplanes or more flying somewhere I expect 2020 to be much of the same as 2019. Not stagnant, but nothing new.

So 2-8 months reserve depending on base and roughly 18 month upgrades if the status quo remains?

That's probably a pretty good guess.
