I was hoping for the In House one as well but didn't get it. I'll be in Dallas for ATP/CTP 2/17-2/24. See you then possibly!

About two weeks before I got my ATP/CTP course date my recruiter reached out to me and first asked me about the time I had and if it had hit all of the requirements yet. Luckily, I was able to tell her mostly good news. The only thing I still need to get is my 1500 hours but I am on course to get that before the first day of class.
After that quick email, she then sent me an email contain a few different attachments. They contained your job offer, your job description with what to expect for the first 90-100 days which will be your training and finally a application and background information. The airlines want to know what you have been doing for the last 10 year and also the education you have. Just like any other job.
Additional, another email came with the first one which had a link to two different sites. One site took you to a company that does the job verification and background checks for Republic. You have to fill out their form with all of the information you have. They will keep on contacting you if they are having difficulty verifying your prior work history. Also in this email was a link to tell you to schedule you drug test. It gives you different places that you can go to and also the paperwork that you need to take with you.
Once you have done all of this paperwork then it is time to sit back and wait for your class date.

Just giving an update. I am 12 days away from reporting to Indianapolis for my ATP/CTP course. I still haven't gotten my travel plans but my recruiter says to plan on leaving on February 27. Republic says I will receive my travel plans approximately 3 days before I need to report.
Earlier this week I official hit the 1500 TT requirement for ATP. I will not have enough cross country time to get an unrestricted ATP. However, all of my other requirements have been fulfilled. I have one week left of flight instructing. It has been an enjoyable time flight instructing. I have learned a lot about it over the last 12 months.
My official INDOC date is schedule for March 10. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is a childhood dream that is finally coming true. It has taken many years to get here but it is finally here. I can't believe I have done it. This is what I feel I was born to do.

As a fellow childhood dreamer, the first time you push the thrust levers forward with the runway ahead of you and a load of passengers behind you is a rush that can't ever be described or duplicated. There will always be naysayers and negatives, but we are truly fortunate to be able to do what we do. It beats the hell out of working for a living!
I look forward to seeing you out on the line! Welcome to Republic!
