Is KORD hard to get???
Hi, I am still in flight school but republic is like one of top 3 regionals to work for in my list. I am from Chicago and would prefer to stay in Chicago. Is ORD a hard base to get for a new hired FO? Really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance.

Not currently hard on the FO side, VERY senior for CAs. And might I recommend looking through some of the other threads on this forum. I feel like this question is asked and answered at least twice per week.

Short answer: if you want ORD and don’t want to move don’t consider Republic.

I've flown with many captains that live near ORD but commute to DC, EWR, IND or LGA.

Honest feedback, not trying to be be a Richard since you are not yet in the industry. Drop the “K” when causally mentioning the identifier of any domestic airport/base/hub/overnight in conversation with others in the airline industry. Three letters is all that is used in reality and everyone will know what you are talking about.
