Republic misses out again..

How in the world does rpa continue to miss out? Yes, I know we just received 30 delta planes last year.

But more United flying awarded to skywest and expressjet while Republic is left in the dark with stagnant bases in the very bases Skywest will operate those 175s. Is Republic turning in to nothing more than a northeast regional? Wonder what marketing will come up with after Skywest passes us as the largest 170 fleet...

You must be blind. There’s no way in hell we can staff 30 more aircraft right now. I’d rather us stay status quo and maintain performance than expand with subpar performance.

over in the skywest forum it seems like they don't think they can staff them either

Sure looks like it, and it looks like we lost out on a lot of ORD 175 flying.

Lol no one has the staffing to fly those planes!

Republic probably put out a number for them and SkyWest came in and undercut it like they always do.

Who cares? We can barely keep pace with what we've got. 25 more planes would cripple us. Plus, we can't figure out how to operate our planes west of Denver very far. Get your time and get out...

If I had to guess, OO is going to give up some type of flying to staff the new 175s. Not sure how many 700s they have flying for UA, but this would be the most likely option.

New Hires follow the New planes.
