I am one of the First Officers that were in training when we were sent home. So we I am the new hires you are talking about. We didn't get a call today. The Union was aware of what was going on when the letter email came yesterday morning. At this moment I am happy to still be hired and I think that the Union has something to do with that. So I thank them also. I don't know where we will be next week or next month, but I am just looking to make sure that the four groups of new hires have the same rights as the other pilots at republic if it comes to furloughs. Let's keep wishing and praying it doesn't come to that. But, we never know as we have never seen something like this in our history.

Additionally, I am also aware of some friends from the recruiting department that were let go today. I think we all should wish that they are able to weather this and come out stronger on the other side. We as a nation need to come together to help bring the end to this Pandemic and also to help our economies to come back with any means we have.

Heard you were back on this site and you’re back to the medical field in NYC. I’ve got two elderly parents infected with the virus. Both are at the end of it, although we were within days of loosing one.

I’m sorry you were released from training with your classmates. I’m thrilled to see you on the frontlines of this. I’ve learned so much from people like you who are in “the trenches” taking care of people like my loved ones. You’re a hero in my eyes.
