No news is good news I suppose. Wait, we did get some good news also. With this 2 trillion dollar package Bedford said we should be able to make it through Sept 30 with nobody losing their jobs and hopefully by then the industry will have a better outlook by then. Wait and see, but better news than what I was expecting.

I guess there are no updates on classes resuming? Would be nice but I realize it's a long shot for a while.

I would not expect them to until you see the Majors reporting that they are going to ramp flying back up and unpark planes. You have no FOs upgrading because they froze upgrades and have nobody leaving because nobody is hiring (except some cargo). So there really is no need for new hire classes until the system picks back up again.

Hopefully they tell can give us some guidance soon, I’m kind of in limbo now because I finished CTP and was supposed to be in class last week..If I need to find a new job so be it, but it’d be nice to hear it from them before I go take a job somewhere in my old line of work and then get called to come to class. That would be pretty disruptive to them. And if I told them I could leave at any moment, it would probably hurt my chances of getting hired

I know, I’m low priority since I’m not on the seniority list yet, but I’d rather be told I’m being let go now than wait a month

Check the Paid Leave Thread for discussion.

Is not that you are low priority, it’s that they really don’t know yet how long this will last. Someone previously mentioned that when the majors start ramping up their flying that will be your signal.

I hate to say it, but you probably should work on the plan B for now just in case it does take a while.

I would expect hiring to stop until at least 2021.

Expressjet is still hiring and will be for the foreseeable future. 50 seat flying is stronger than ever.
