the point of ditching the 145’s was to give more gate and slot space to higher value traffic. I don’t know there will be much regional backfill

Yeah and a lot has changed since then. These will be the first base closures since the 2015 CBA. Consistency with bases has been one of the biggest priorities with management since the cba change. We could have expanded in various markets since then if it wasn’t for the fact that republic wanted longer term flying contracts and the partners wouldn’t do so.

This! That gate space is being using for the JetBlue/ AA co-op.

What does that have to do with anything? It's a total strawman. Nothing he said precludes anything you said from being true. As it turns out, airlines act based on the future, not just the present. It's totally consistent for AA/B6 to be posturing now for a time in which A) things are more normal with respect to COVID and B) the DOJ approves their partnership.

Thank you for the airline lesson longhorn, how long have you been in the industry? I was referring to “the gate space being using for the Jetblue/ AA co-op.” No gate space has “being using” by Jetblue yet as the DOJ hasn’t approved anything as of now. I greatly appreciate your insight however, you are quite full of airline knowledge.

Nor have the 145s left LGA yet. You're arguing that something planned for the future isn't happening now. Not exactly profound. And you deign to patronize me when I point that out. Bravo.

I stated facts longhorn that Jetblue isn’t utilizing any AA gates as of yet. And NYC is still essentially locked down. Never once did I mention 145’s or any other regional lift for AA. I hope we can all get through this together. Carry on

Pretty sure the Envoy pilots in New York could tell you something to the contrary. Ain’t no Envoy planes to be found in the dump that is La Garbage.

Ah, thanks for the correction! I didn't think they'd left yet. Shows you how much I go to LGA. Has the base closed yet? I thought both the 145 LGA base closure and the 175 MIA base were happening next spring.

Doesn't change my original premise, though.
