Why did we get threatened to do face mask training like a three year old. I’m in charge of 80 people, Emergency situations, 53million dollar airplane, and all the other crap to keep the flights, organized, and on time.

Yet instead of asking nicely or just doing it during any training event we just get threatened. “ if not complete you will not be allowed to operate United flights, or use your united benefits” I will gladly do the 5 minute training video but give us some respect.

If asking were enough they probably would do just that, and did until late June. What's upsetting is that it this is what it takes to get compliance.

Because rules and procedures have to be tailored to the lowest common denominator. How many pilots or flight attendants do you know that are *****ing “this is ‘Murica!! You can’t tell me what to do!!” My personal favorite is a fellow pilot that thinks he’s sooooooo edgy by wearing a mask made of fishnet material.

Is this seriously a thing? Regardless of someone's opinion on the effectiveness of a mask, it keeps people traveling. How big of a dolt can a pilot be to actively protest wearing a mask right now when the public is clearly terrified to travel. Even if it means just one more person will buy a ticket, put the thing on and shut up.

And to the OP, who can't spell the name of the company correctly but is "in charge of 80 people", we get it big man, you run the show, heavy RJ driver. Just complete the compliance training and get on with your day. I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of equally qualified RJ pilots who would love to take your spot if you feel so disrespected in your big RJ role. You really felt the need to come onto your anonymous internet echo chamber to rant when you could've just knocked it out in the amount of time it took you to start this thread?

I mean, we did have a pilot fired for refusing to wear a mask while nonreving on a UA flight. So the video was tailored towards those idiots, but the rest of us have to suffer. This type of thing of speaking to the lowest common denominator happens all the time in the military and all over corporate America.
