Learn the difference between a codeshare and a FFD agreement. That might answer your question and help prevent you from looking foolish.

This is nothing more than a shift in resources. Republics AA flying has been suppressed in LGA for months now. For instance, in October 2019, Republic was pushing 50 daily departures for AA, and next month we are slated to do 3. As a result we have been assigned a lot of AA routes out of ORD; something that hasn't been seen in years. The combination of Envoy not flying out of New York for months plus the Jetblue announcement where they stated there will be no more 50 seaters up there most likely led management to move pieces of the puzzle around. Pre COVID, both Envoy and Republic had very sizeable operations in Miami. I think once all of the dust settles we will see both carriers operating out of Miami. I can see Envoy doing the non EOW routes plus some other destinations such as XNA, CHS BHM, PNS, etc that can feed into their other 175 hubs. I cannot see one Eagle carrier down there covering it all. Time will tell....

I'm not worried about looking foolish, I'll admit I'm new to this world, I'm here to learn what I can so I'm open to that. Sorry if that offends you.
