ERJ audio panel struggle

Im hoping i can get a bit of help because i have been unable to get anywhere with other forums/groups of asking other ERJ pilots.

I have a Erj 175 headset question: I use a bose a20 thats about 7 yrs old. It always sounded fine in the 145 i flew and all GA planes, even with a digital audio pannel. However In the 175 im hearing most audio normally except for myself. Im hearing myself doubled up, or with a short “delay” or “echo”. It is while transmitting or while speaking on the interphone to crew membwers. It also happens with ramp or cabin selected. But only my own voice. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this? I have the old style bluetooth cable and ga plugs if that matters. I used to have this issue anytime i jumpseated on the 190 on jetblue or aa when they were around. I have tried several combinations of headset volume, and audio panel settings.

All speaker selectors are off. New batteries, cleaned connectors etc. I have had about a dozen colagues tell me I have the same issue too, no fix for it" and another dozen tell me that they never had or have even heard about this issue.

anyone have any ideas?

Anything to do with your mic impedance?
In the ‘old’ Bose X in the battery compartment you had these tiny switches to change settings.
I’m not an audiophile so I may be way off base.

Only thing I can think of is the mono/stereo switch. I've seen different headsets of multiple brands have audio issues of some sort when set to stereo because most aircraft intercoms aren't stereo. I've used A20s for a long time with the switch set to mono and never had an issue. The switch is underneath the batteries.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Have you tried a mechanical reset?
:D

Might be worth reaching out to Bose directly, they can probably give you the best advice as to the cause and solution since it doesn’t happen to every headset.

I had issues with my 2 plug A20’s and bought the XLR connector. Best purchase I ever made with regard to headsets. No batteries needed and the connection is nice and simple. The connector comes with the mic attached. Two little screws and off ya go.

When I switched from the 145 to the 170 I had issues too...open up battery cover BT-Aux switch to BT, Intercom switch to Mon, Auto Off switch to On...haven’t had an issue since! Good luck

Call Bose

If none of these options the fellas above mentioned work, then call Bose. They’re really good at honoring their product I had an A20 with a left speaker issue and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I then called Bose, sent in my headset and within a week had a brand new off the shelf headset because they couldn’t figure it out. You’ll just have to endure the community headsets for a bit lol
