How is seniority determined in class? Are bases assigned within a few weeks of joining?

Seniority is by date of birth. Bases are assigned during the second week of Indoc. You rank the bases in order of your preference and then get assigned what’s available by seniority.

Seniority within a class is done by age. You'll know your base by the end of your first week. You will be immediately able to bid for any vacancies that are posted after you're awarded a base. That means you'll get dibs on anything before they're assigned to new hires behind you.

Got a call from recruiting yesterday offering a 6/1 class date. I am a cadet with a previously scheduled (4/14) class date that got cancelled. Finally the 1+ year wait is over.

Thanks! ATP-CTP about a week before that, then straight to Indy for Indoc. More details to come next week they said.

Congrats!! I also got a call yesterday for for a 6/1 class date, so I will see you there! Previously I had a class date 3/24 of 2020 and am a cadet. Excited to start training.
