The company has been very quiet on that lately haven't they? I wonder if that 100 plane order is still even a thing. I can't imagine the company being able to staff any growth over the next couple years.

With the amount of captains leaving here daily I’m wondering how we’ll staff what we have right now let alone any additional growth. 2022 will be a very interesting ride.

My tin hat estimate is that either the order was sold or the delivery position of the aircraft were sold to the code shares for extra flying or better rates for the fixed fee routes.

current PREFERRED requirements for spirit below. I don’t forsee republic or an regional getting much traction with street captains Preferred Requirements:

- 750 hours in multi-engine, turboprop or jet aircraft.
- A320 Type Rating.
- Undergraduate degree from an Accredited Four-Year College or University.
- Experience in 121 airlines or turbojet aircraft.
- Experience in aircraft equipped with EFIS and/or FMS.
- Instructor/Check Airman experience

yeah enough with this DEC nonsense, it will not solve the problem. RPA can try to get DECs all they want but this is not the right environment for it. DECs only work when that certain regional is growing faster than other regionals and have shorter upgrade times. It is much better for career progression to upgrade at your own regional (we all have the same upgrade times now) and suck it up for a year or two (or less in some cases) until you get a phone call from something better.

Yes, and there are things we want like better commuter rules, reserve, etc. But what the negotiating committee is actually working on and their dealings with the company is privileged information at this point.
