Cadet program
I have a few questions about the cadet program (The thread about it was old) Have anyone went through the Cadet program and would you recommend it? and how long do I have to work with republic if I go through the cadet Program?

The Republic cadet program, IMO, has the best advantage-gained-to-committment-made ratio of any of the cadet programs. You interview with them, and they give you a CJO and preferential scheduling in exchange for literally nothing on your end. No reason not to do it. Even if Republic isn't your first choice now, you never know who might go bottom up, who might close the base you want, or who just plain isn't hiring when it's your time.

I was in the Cadet Program too, and it was overall a good experience until they started pushing back my class date, first time was only a 2 month wait and I had no other offers on the table so I didn't have a huge problem with that. Second time I was told that I would have to wait until Q3 2023 and by then I had found another airline. Upside is there's no commitment required, for any CFIs building time right now I think it's still a good option or at least have a backup to your preferred airline.

Brand new here, but does anybody know how their cadet program views potential future checkride failures? I was just accepted recently and provided the official job offer letter which was very clear that I would be subject to re-evaluation in the event of any FAA disciplinary action, accidents/incidents, and/or checkride failures. I am currently working on MEI as my initial CFI checkride and will still have to go through the CFII and CFI addons. I hate to think negatively but I understand that it might be unrealistic to think I will pass all of these remaining checks. Has this been an issue for anyone in the program? I also slipped during my commercial multi which wasn't an issue in getting into the program.

You need to have at least an Instrument Rating or Commercial Certificate, most of the interview questions are testing your knowledge of regulations and approach charts but not any harder than a checkride oral.

I read the thread about Republic not hiring low time FOs, do you think I should apply for the cadet program?
