I have some questions about DEC position at RP.
1. Can you hold BOS as a new hire?
2. How long to hold a CA line in BOS vs LGA/EWR?
3.Do you have loss of medical insurance? Does the union provide one? is it included in the LTD?
4.Overtime is 200% or 300%? How easy is to pick it up out of BOS vs LGA/EWR? Is it possible with a Reserve line?
5. How long is training with previous Ejet CA time? Full CA pay from day 1?
6.How easy is to get involved in the training department? Is a good ol' boys club?
7.Do you think you can make more money in 2 years at Envoy or Mesa vs RP?
Thanks in advance for the answers, most of the info out there is FO.

The current vacancy memo is for March, that shows 28 CA vacancies in BOS, the highest number of all the bases. So...likely?
Jr most CA with a full line
BOS 9/21
EWR 7/21
LGA 6/21
You can purchase it from an outside company that the union deals with.
No
Regular overtime (over 87 hrs) is paid at 125%, there is premium time available for 150% or 200% (usually 200%) but I don't know how much is available to the CA's
Same training as without I believe.
I have no idea about the pay question. I don't believe you can actually be a DEC but I could be off on that. I think you go through indoc as an FO then pretty much directly into upgrade training. You may not get CA pay till you start that upgrade. Our contract doesn't mention DECs that I can find. The website is a tad ambiguous on that. Call a recruiter and ask?
How's that for a loaded question? Doesn't seem like one to me but I've never tried to skin that cat. 2 of my classmates (2018) were in training at about the 4 year mark.
Don't know anything about their pay scales or contracts.
Understood.

You'd have to stay 12 mos after OE to keep the first 50 and 24 mos after OE to keep the second 50.
I'm going to guess it's this timeline or something very similar. I'm going to try to get an answer on this.

I wouldnt count on it. At least while staffing is an issue. They sent a bunch of the training department back to the line and hired outside instructors which p****d off a bunch of them to the point that people who were lifers are leaving

The pay answer is ...
$10,500 stipend for the first 30 days, then min monthly guarantee for CA. (They have a "longevity" matching program I don't know all details on but I'd assume if you have 2 years at your current employer they'd start you at year 2 pay)
They want two years as CA from you to keep the $100K bonus.

Conventional wisdom was always something like assume you'll make 1,000 hours a year credit (not actual block or flight time). Reserve CA's are going to be used for sure. In 2 years you should be able to knock out @ $400k gross with the bonus.
