Republic 175 Training Program
 

Talked to a buddy who flies for republic and he told me the FAA has frozen the E-170 training program. Is this true?

Memo from the company says it is back up and running again. It was an issue with Flight Safety, not the airline.

who cares, the 175 is really not worth the 12K a year republic pays its fo, multi time is multi time, and i hear republic asked US air not to hire anyone because they cant get any one to replace the people that are leaving.

You know I hear Republic can't gets guys in the door, which may have been the case before this big 175 order...but now all the regionally aspiring guys I talk to are looking very seriously if not primarily at RAH.

I've applied for years with no call, they are not desperate yet

We need to squash this rumor, it leads to hope. I don't know who floated it or why, but they are interviewing herds of pilots, and they are only hiring about 20% of those who interview.
