Republic - IBT Nat'l takes over Negotiations
So, National IBT has taken over negotiations without even notifying the Local 357 EBoard.
I loved hearing the attempted “spin” on the conference call when Wilder was trying to explain WHY this occurred. In the background you could hear Muffin whispering, “jumpstart”, but Wilder ignored him and pressed on with his own explanation. I could have sworn that IBT’s biggest selling point on the difference between IBT and ALPA was, IBT is a “bottom up” union, while ALPA is a “top down” union. National arranging meetings to set dates for meetings with a “Private Mediator” and negotiating on our behalf doesn’t seem like a “bottom up” type of philosophy as previously advertised. Any truth to the rumor that National is completely fed up with the Local? |

If they have then they are full of it. Have you read the unions proposal at all... Of course not.. Too quick to jump on here and be yourself. I don't want to call you what you are because I don't want to get banned. The reason you haven't gotten banned yet is because the moderators must be frontier
But back to the original point, what the 357 is asking for is not unreasonable at all. It's all available online. If they have taken over its because they don't want the expense of our negotiations or they see how bought and paid for the nmb is. They must think the whole thing is futile. Our flight attendants vote was a joke. Many many senior flight attendants never got ballots. You could read through the envelope what someone's voted. What they did should put someone in jail. I hope teamsters isn't trying to do the same thing to us. Did you know your a real piece of work? |

Hey 3662--how are things over at F9??

Based on this letter and the exclusion of the 357 Negotiating Committee, is the phrase, “My NC speaks for me.” still our mantra or even valid?

I noticed a LOT of union time for November on one of the NC member's schedules and wondered what was happening well before the company made the announcement and tried to make it sound as if the local was "blindsided" by this. Clearly they were not....and your constant bombardment of ludicrous assertions (which have, I may remind you, been proven to be false many times in the past) are not changing anyone's mind. In fact, I would equate the credibility of your posts to that of the emails you might find in your spam filter. Shouldn't you be working on improving your "radio voice" for when you guys start pitching pizza delivery companies in Trenton over the PA as part of your new ULCC business model? In fact, in the spirit of "brotherhood," I'd like to help you with that so your commission check can help make up that equity stake that everyone else in the world who has ever dealt with Bedford automatically knew that you would never see. Just remember; Pronunciation, annunciation, inflection and pitch. Speak as if the sound is coming from your diaphragm and never forget that people can "hear" your smile. :) Also, check out the movie "Stroker Ace." Flying whilst wearing a chicken outfit would really move some merch! It'd also be appropriate for a few of you guys in so many ways....you, in particular. Good luck.....you guys need it a hell of a lot more than us. |

Not that I'm a big fan of national union people, but do you understand the difference between the national team and the local or are you that dense? I'm sure you are one of the pilots that trashed the Midwest 8......you just seem like that type!! |

So IBT members are super villains like RI...The Incognito... Cool story
The "super villains" are also the lifers, just like Incognito, they have spent a lifetime of showing that they don't work and play well with others. He must be quite the role model for those pilots. For the non-lunatics at RAH, I hope you get out as soon as possible, sadly, this stuff IS contagious. |

For you to say that Midwest and Frontier pilots are better because of your experience and maturity is absolutely ridiculous. We are all airline pilots. We all want better pay, work rules, career opportunities. RAH is not and will never be a career airline but it doesn't mean this pilot group won't keep trying to raise the bar. I don't care who negotiates the stupid TA. If MY NC (that includes the Muffin) does not recommend the TA then it is an automatic NO vote for every Republic pilot. I seriously hope IBT National isn't trying to ram a crap deal down our throats. If that happens then it will be time to decertify the IBT and start over. Finally, not every lifer as you put it is a super villain. 9/11 changed the industry and a lot of careers and dreams were affected. But go ahead and keep judging and assuming you're better because you work at Mainline Frontier. |
Nbecca
What are you doing in regional section? :) 10-20 years? Hmm I guess 1 year in Great Lakes is like 5 in real airline years |
