That what you tell your CAs bro?

I am a rsv captain, and I agree that it is what you make of it. Just remember: RAH is the regionals(i.e. NOT a major). You want work rules, pay etc? THEN GTFO!

To the OP,

There are lots of RAH haters on this site. Granted, I'm not saying this is the best regional by any means. But understand this, every single regional has its own issues and that 5-10% of bitter pilots.

I've been at RAH for a year now. Some days, I love my job (mainly, because of the people I fly with) and some days, I absolutely hate it.

It's no secret that most regionals close and open bases at their leisure with very little regard to how it may effect their pilots. So don't come here, because you want to be based out of XYZ. For all we know, that base could close before you finish OE. But as a general rule, majority of our bases are more east coast commuter friendly.

Reserve at RAH is what you make out of it. As a commuter myself with a super crappy commute, I didn't find it to be horrible because I was used regularly. If you happen to live in base and want to kick it at home and collect the monthly guarantee, it might be different.

Yeah "bro" is that what you tell your captains??? (What the hell does that even mean).

That being said, this is a good post.

I think it means something like: "I graduated from purdue, where I was told that I was God's gift to aviation; now I'm at RAH and they don't tell me that I'm God's gift to aviation. I'm gonna walk around the airport pouting."

That's what I get out of a comment like that.

So, what is the junior base at Republic? Would it be easy for a new hire to get DCA out of training? How long on Reserve? If I were willing to fly the Q400, how long on reserve?

Republic has 3 certificates and 4 airframes and that you cannot move between (normally). DCA is Republic E170 base and is senior at the moment. All certs have their senior/junior bases. As for the Q400 it is getting close to being fully staffed - with mostly junior FOs so you will only see movement for upgrade or attrition.
