Republic Airlines IND Base Tax Question

FedEx has just opened up an IND base and we have just realized that we getting taxed from IN as well as Marion County. We are having issues with some of our commuters that are getting double taxed from their home state as well.

How has your company dealt with this? Any info on this would be great as our company is being very unresponsive on this. Thanks in advance!

Been Indy based since '09 and live in VA. Never have had Indy taxes taken out.

In a previous life I was home based, I had to pay the taxes where I lived, not where I worked. Ask your accountant.

Many states offer residents a tax credit for state and/or local taxes paid as nonresident to another state.

You will likely need to file an Indiana nonresident tax return; the Indiana tax form you want is a IT-40PNR.

If you are performing 51% or more of your work in Indiana then you would pay state taxes there. If not you pay based on your residence.
