Republic plan to dry lease their planes

What's up with republic leasing away their planes? Staffing issues? Shrinking?

TOMM 03-28-2015 06:43 PM

Sources or links to anything?

Rumors are planes are going to ADI... Rumors are also planes staying for 5 more years... Rumors are rumors and neither has been confirmed nor denied by the company...

Been discussed on all the other threads.

We can't staff the planes we have, let alone all these new planes on order. So we're currently downsizing and leasing airplanes to other companies. IBT says "no harm, no foul" as long as we're not furloughing.

Same drum regional ALPA beats. Cuz, 8+ year upgrades are cool and all...

Didn't the DOT revoke, suspend, turn down, ADI's 121 certificate? Maybe I'm missing something, but that was definitely posted somewhere on here in the past few months. How can they take planes to operate 121 with no certificate?

The COO from RAH just "retired" along with the sale of the CHQ 121 certificate to an undisclosed buyer. A new startup airline with zero longevity employees can be up and running within weeks. It's really pointless speculation, but never underestimate a group of corporate weasels in their quest to annihilate labor and line their pockets.

Seems they may have to dry lease the CS100s they have on order. They are not compliant with any scope clause provisions.

I hear you there, but let's say it was sold to someone like say ADI.. Can't the DOT still step in and revoke it again anyway… even if they bought the CHQ certificate… I really have no idea what the legalities are on it, or if that's even possible. I'm a little out of my element on that. Just curious how that could even play out.

CS 300's. They say they have nothing to do with them which leads me to believe the opposite.

BB has said multiple times they have no one to partner the cs300s with. The only tid bit he let out was that they might be able to operate them with one of the airline alliances.

Well they are supposed to be the launch customer for them. The CS100 visited Republic in IND back in October but I think its a fair statement there is nothing they can do with them scope wise.
