Cockpit audio from JetBlue's near-miss with plane
More fake news courtesy of CNN. How many times does this kind of reporting happen in other areas where we may not be as familiar with the material?
The story is about "Jetblue 94" but the person doing the transcript decides they're saying "Deborah 94"....... genius.
"Traffic in sight" becomes "Traffic inside" and two aircraft stepping on each other on the radios is now the "alarm from the collision warning system".
UFB. Do they not have someone with a clue on retainer?

Here at CNN...we don't report the news, we ARE the news!!
They are "STUNNED" at the fact one flying VFR doesn't have to talk to air traffic controllers. Maybe CPDLC is inherently dangerous and we don't know it.
Any journalistic records, degrees, certification or sandscribe should be revoked. Pretty sad indeed

Not fake news. A few inaccurate details, but very much actual news.
"Fake news" is a popular buzzword today, but like most popular buzzwords, often inaccurately used.
The event in this case did occur, action was taken, and the matter is under investigation. Witness statements were included. ATC advised of traffic and did what they're supposed to do; separate IFR from IfR and IFR from VFR.
Three minor errors does not make it fake news.
