UPS Plane Crash at CRW
UPS cargo plane crash reported at Yeager Airport | WCHS
This is just breaking.
Looking at flight aware, this looks like it may be a contract carrier a (SNC1260) the aircraft is a Shorts 330 operated by Air Cargo Carriers.

Moderators feel free to change the thread title since it is misleading as to the actual carrier.

News is saying they overran and went off the steep end. Obviously I question anything those jokers report but I wondered how that would happen since that end has EMAS.
Then I google earthed it. Yikes. Tailwinds.

This from the P.O.S. airport spokesman Mike Pante
"There's nothing particularly challenging about Yeager Airport for a pilot"
Yeager Airport Crash: Two Killed When Cargo Plane Hits Hillside in West Virginia - NBC News
CRW is definitely on my list of the most challenging airports to fly into. The airport sits on top of a mountain!
Coming in from the south you fly very close to a hill top. From the north you fly over a deep canyon and you feel super high. The winds can be tricky. The airport is also frequently covered by low level fog.
None of that should cause a fatal accident, but it IS Challenging.

An airport spokesman should not be voicing opinion on an accident. If he has authority to speak, he should have given only factual information about the airport.
Any accident information should be deferred to those investigating.
Information on the crew and fatalities should have been done by local law enforcement, EMS, FAA, NTSB, or coroner.

FAA/NTSB state the aircraft was approaching performing the VOR-A 05. The tower advised ARFF that the left wing had struck the runway and the fuselage went over the hill to the left of the runway. This according to the Aviation Herald. Very sad.
