Oh, is that why Boeing hired a law firm specializing in white collar crime to investigate their engineers?

I agree with mostly everything you’ve posted in regards to the pilots failing to fly the airplane correctly. However there is a huge amount of precedence in aviation showing that nothing which is inherent to the flight control systems or computers controlling them should be designed with a single point of failure, that’s what they did. Is it criminal? I don’t know. I’m not a lawyer. But the smart people at Boeing who are designing these systems have decided to lawyer up. Probably not a bad idea, I’d do the same if I were them.

What is the other explanation? Somebody made sure the rank and file looked the other way. That is the handicapping anyway.... A first year would have been pounding the table in a healthy environment...

So will 737 pilots be getting a free gym memebership now that it’s a concern the manual trim wheel may need superior strength to operate?

On another forum an anti-American poster blames the US for the date of the A380 and the Concorde because no American airlines ordered either.

So true! I doubt they’d remember the MAX now if it wasn’t in the news every day.

Do you know the difference between civil law and criminal law?

You'll have to ask Boeing. If you insist that criminal charges exist, then state them, link them, or admit your lie.

I do yes. Maybe my wording should have been better so as not to confuse you. Since you are now lowering your self to arguing semantics I’ll change my wording...

Is there a case that can be made in a court of law against the engineers and organization for not carrying out their legal duty in designing these aircraft systems? I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer, but the smart people at Boeing have decided to lawyer up. I probably would too.

There is no allegation of criminal wrongdoing here.

Given that anyone can sue anyone for nearly anything in civil court, the threat of a civil suit establishes nothing, but the insinuation is enough to warrant retaining legal counsel simply for self protection.
