I'm guessing that she already has waaaay more assets than survivors of some some fly-by-night helo charter pilot. Classy.

I'm guessing she isn't personally involved in much of this. This is all lawyer zone.

She had to sign on the dotted line. Since she's not likely to get anything of value out of it, she's just punishing the pilot's family, who probably have limited means and obviously had nothing whatsoever to do with the crash. And are also mourning.

She should sue everybody else involved, just to make sure they're out of business.

I imagine these boutique aviation services deal with tremendous pressure to operate on the fringe. Not a good place to be. I would love to hear the stories from the Kardashian pilots.

Back when her and Kobe almost got divorced in 2011 it was reported several times that she was not the nicest woman to deal with. I certainly feel terrible for her and her situation, but it’s probably not surprising that she’s trying to bury everyone involved with the crash, even people who really had nothing to do with it.

Edit: to add, I think it’s awful she’s going after everyone.

There’s a strong possibility the pilot caused this mishap, and the deaths of his passengers.

A negligent doctor, motorist, ship captain, or pilot kills my kid...I sue. How much money the widowed mother has, and how nice she has been wasn’t a factor in this crash.

Great responsibility comes with great accountability...and liability. While we’re viewing this tragedy from the perspective of pilots, there are loved ones who aren’t.

It may be that the helicopter operator’s insurance underwriter is about to fund a girl’s basketball league for several years, and the futures of the other victim’s survivors. Maybe not.

Manage the risks without compromise, my brothers!

I sure will want to hear the rationale the lawyers give in court. Likely will be a novel reasoning.

It says all the victims families filed a lawsuit against the operator, but Kobe’s widow added the pilot as well. The pilots brother is successor in interest so my guess he’s trying to get her suit dropped so he’s not held liable in a suit that could wipe him out completely. If that’s the case I can’t say I blame him, sad situation all around.

The brother may have been an heir, or owned assets jointly with the pilot, but other than that, they can't go after his personal assets just because he's related to a defendant.
