That’s a tough read.

Ejection seat failures hit extra hard. It’s the one piece of equipment in the airplane that I never once thought would let me down. To see it happen...rough.

yeah. And years after the TCTO. One thing if you are the first guy it happens to - and that’s bad enough. Quite another if nobody got around to fixing a known problem.
