Default Is this 737 a writeoff?

Some might say hard landing. Some might say soft crash. Opinions?

Accident: West Atlantic B734 at Exeter on Jan 19th 2021, hard touchdown

A secondhand 737-400? Yes, it's write-off.

Probably be a write-off if it was a brand-new Max. The wingbox looks messed up.

Hope the crew got a bad downdraft at 100'.

Going price for a used 737-400 is about $3.5 million.

Probably cheaper to part out whatever is still airworthy on the the damaged one and buy a new (used) one.
