FWIW, BBC has confirmed the live stream inside the ATR was real. The man’s family verified his identity when they saw the video, and he was on the a/c. I thought it had to be fake too till I saw that. Take from that what you will.

Could be that.

Could be a control hardover (737s used to have this problem).

Could be engine out => Vmc

Could be loss of prop control => beta

Juan Brown thinks it's stall spin, but my calibrated eyeball can't really tell me the AoA from that video. I can't see much other than that it banked and rolled left, I'm sure the tech folks will be able to zoom in and get a lot more frame by frame. The data recorders should have the story too.

If you want to read something really crazy, google the FO on this flight.

No I don't think it had anything to do with this crash.

Apparently this was a visual circle to land.
Too slow for the flap setting perhaps buying does look like a stall/spin from the video.
