The FAA/NTSB will be the least of their concerns. They’ll be lucky to avoid prison and/or bankruptcy.

Yes this what I meant to say. When you are this negligent, it'll catch up with you sooner or later. Wait until they look into their training records. I'm sure the company then will come under scrutiny for hiring them, and whatever training they received.

yes, they did which likely started the whole sordid deal. Crew removes the cover, but due to the take-off, the ADCs are screwed due to miscompare. So, in the rush to get it right, the try a few things that don’t work, instead of shutting it down and rebooting it.

Default NTSB Prelimary Report

https://s3.documentcloud.org/documen...0_09_31-am.pdf

-Crew ran the wrong checklist, if they had run the correct one it would have had them make sure the pax had seatbelts on.

-the airspeed split on the 1st takeoff was 104KIAS left side vs. 2KIAS right side (pitot tube cover was on the right tube).

-after disconnecting the autopilot the jet pitched up to 11 degrees and pulled +3.8G. Then it went down at negative 2.3G, then pitched up again at 4.2G. The Stick Pusher activated and the G's went down to +2.2G. At this point the FDR figured the jet had crashed and stopped recording. The CVR continued to record for 10 more minutes using backup power.
