La Jolla Crash

At first glance this looks like businessman PPL fuel starvation.

But apparently the guy has 17,000 hours and multiple heavy transport types.

Anybody know his story?

Heres his bio.

I'm finding 18,000 hours, multiple type ratings and no apparent professional flying career hard to swallow. Yes, the ATP is listed in the FAA record along with a 3rd Class medical. Maybe he just bought a lot of type ratings for his ego, still 18,000 hours isn't easy to acquire as a non-professional.

Are you sure that's the same guy? He doesn't look 74 years old in the picture. The article states that the deceased pilot is 74 years od
