Another Boeing Secret!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHve5mbai3I
I watched only the first 45 seconds. I have no idea what's in the rest of it. |
What an idiotic proposition.
A deep dive into the construction and operation of a cockpit door is not appropriate here, but the woman chair who had been mouthing off without any discretion on every media outlet she can find, needs to shut up, and anyone on here should know full well the function of blow-out panels, and what happens during an explosive depressurization. That this was even brought up in that video is beyond idiotic. No, it's not a secret. |
I'm not sticking up for the NTSB lady, because I agree with you that she talks too much, and my personal expericence with the NTSB leads me to believe they aren't always noble and altruistic, but nor do I believe she made this up.
The Alaska crew was surprised that the cockpit door opened. I'm curious to know why, and look forward to new information. |
On the DC-8 the cockpit door opened inward, so this would not have happened. There was a blow out panel in the lower part of the door, in case of explosive decompression.
