Fox News is reporting that a United Boeing jet diverted after an inflight fire and broken windshield.

Had a windshield heat control fry in a Nine at night. That was entertaining.

I had a windshield heat element arc and crack the windshield on a 737, got a good whiff of electrical smoke before the CB popped and the inner pane let go. It gets your attention for sure, hope that's all it was for this crew.
