Kudos to the pilot for safely getting it on the ground, getting all the passengers out safely AND putting out the fire!

Was Ariel the pilot on this one?

Do Navajos typically have engine fire extinguishers?

PA31 03-09-2012 04:07 PM

No bottles on a Navajo, I've only seen them on turbine engines.

I know that Cessna offered an optional fire extinguishing system on the 402, but I have yet to actually a piston aircraft with them as well.

FlyJSH 03-11-2012 12:42 AM

We had them on the 421 but not the 414. That's why I asked.

Thanks

Hmm, wonder why I can't edit my post... I meant so say "actually see a piston aircraft with them as well."
