Default Lear Jet crash kill singer Jenni Rivera

Singer, mother of 5 dies in a Lear Jet crash.

Am I the first post about this tragic accident?

I guess you guys are all caught up with airline pilot stuff like
SEX, SALARY, SENIORITY.

Are you really using a tragic accident as an opportunity to troll the rest of this message board? Classy, I can tell you really feel for this singer and her family. RIP.

Umm...what else is there?

It's why I took the job!

PS. I used to fly Lear Jets but it didn't pay squat.

Very very sad news. Flew the 23, 24 and 25 series many years ago.

It is indeed the Harley Davidson sportster of jets yet supremely unforgiving if operated carelessly. The NTSB database is full of multi-thousand hour 20-30 series Lear pilots no longer with us.

The Co. I flew for had a 23, it was great fun to hand fly at 410!

You'd sneeze, you'd lose 300'!

But it climbed like a scalded ape, especially when empty. Someone told me it would out climb a T38 through 10,000'.

Since it was issued "on basis of and only valid when accompanied buy (a) Mexican pilot license" and has both Lear and HS-125 type ratings, I'm guessing the guy had more than 250 hours. Interesting his ratings were VFR only. I wonder if that was due to something in the conversion.

My condolences to all concerned.

I'd be willing to bet some money this was an illegal charter. The company has had two aircraft seized by DEA, and the company's owner has a record that is longer than a Learjet tip tank.

It amazes me the scumbags this industry attracts. Do other industries say that as well? Are there just an exorbitant amount of scumbags on this planet, or is it just in aviation?
